Radisson Red is an international chain of full service hotels for Radisson Hotels marketed at millennials. These are operated by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

The approach / Radisson Red wanted a large interactive digital experience, that was scalable across all of their individual properties as they started to grow across the globe. They knew they needed something, but were looking to our design and UX team to help them set themselves apart. With a chain of hotels directly targeted towards millenials (App-based check-in, In-house social networking), we knew we had some creative freedom. 

First discovery, then brainstorming, then the pitch.

Something memorable

The minute the meeting was put on the books, and I had done some basic googling around to see what Radisson Red was looking for, I was thrilled to get some ideas in front of their leadership team. 

I had initial thoughts of a DJ/Touchtunes app on large 55" displays. Personalized check-in showing your face on a large video wall as you walk in using RFID technology. VR Headset games. The ideas were endless. 

But as I did more research, talked to user groups, completed questionnaires, I began to hone in on the experience and what I believed would work best. Simple. Clean. Elegant. Memorable. ´╗┐Striking.

CONCEPTING

Pitching strikes

Traveled to Minneapolis to stand up in front of Radisson Red's executive team and pitched ideas for a Selfie Station, Music Player, City Explorer, Interactive Blog.

The team was super excited and we nailed down the appropriate screen layouts. After hours of concepting, research, and interviews, it was time to get visual.

OUTCOME

Scalable immersive experiences

After working with the Radisson team, their creative agency, and many other hardware partners, we successfully implemented a scalable, large-format immersive and interactive experience with local curated art, localized city guides, social selfie-stations, and more in Brussels, Capetown, Glasgow, Minneapolis + more to follow.
